Noteworthy for 10/30/2013

What just happened: Heat were down 19-0 to start their game against the...Sixers.  Then they decided to start playing like the champs and took a 9-point lead going into the 4th.  Long story short, they blew that lead and end up losing by 4 to the same Sixers that have guys you wouldn't even recognize in a Justin Bieber wig.

Ballin':  Kevin Love hit a 3 to push the game into overtime. Then he asked for lots of noise.  The Plumlee that plays for the Suns had 18 and 15, which is impressive.  Even more so when you consider that he only allowed Lamarcus Aldridge to grab four rebounds.  Klay Thompson was 15 for 19 from the field and had 38 points in 3 quarters.

Video: Anthony Bennett Already Forgot The Donuts

Maybe we should be kind of nervous for Anthony Bennett, the season is barely in its infancy and he's already forgetting his responsibilities.  I mean if an experienced employee (Jarret Jack) needs to dress up a promising new-comer (Bennett) in a ridikilous outfit to make sure he's less forgetful, I say 'bring on the colorful vests and matching fedoras'.

A lot of these things could happen in the new NBA season, or if you're like me, they may have already happened in Association mode of your last NBA 2k13 season.

Metta World Peace Took A Subway to His First Knicks Game

Thanks to the brother of the forward formerly known as Ron Artest, we got news this afternoon that Metta (or Ron), actually took a subway to Madison Square Garden for the Knicks home opener vs the Bucks.

Judging by the photos posed by reporter Jim Baumbach, it looks like things went as planned. However, I couldn't help but wish that the following might have happened for MWP's trip to his Knicks debut.

1) Metta gets lost, ends up at Barclays Center.

2) Metta dons the fake beard and cowboy hat he wore on Jimmy Kimmel as his undercover garb.

3) Metta brings Beno Udrih along and everyone thinks Metta is Ethan Hawke's body guard.
