Testy:  Lots of heated emotions between guys that I had no idea would get into it with each other

Maybe I kinda saw this coming.  KG isn't scaring anyone these days, so he probably was pretty offended that Bargnani was blowing by him for dunks as well as talking trash to him after splashing threes in his face.

another scuffle...

Andray Blatche and Iman Shumpert have beef? For what? who's first name is most unconventional?

Didn't expect this game to be very good at all as both teams are struggling on offense, but there were some nice individual moves including Shaun Livingston's unnecessary behind-the-back-pass to Mirza "hates bears" Teletovic and then Livingston getting dropped by JR Smith.

Actor
Maybe all those commercials are getting Blake Griffin too comfortable with acting.  Besides making it look like Jerryd Bayless knocked him across the court, Blake also drew a technical foul on Kosta Koufos when he made it look like Koufos tossed him under the basket.  All this phantom contact seemed to pump up the Clipps as they had a huge 3rd and 4th quarter.  So maybe there is a purpose for all that acting besides getting more endorsements and possibly even a movie with Kevin Hart.

Routs
After the Knicks won by 30 and the Clippers overwhelmed the Grizz in the second half of that game to win by 20, the Bulls made the defending Champs look quite terrible.  The Heat were held down to 44 points in the first half and out-rebounded by 22 by the Bulls.

Other:  Cool shout tribute by Joakim Noah to Nelson Mandela who passed away today.

Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes Bet on the North Carolina/Michigan St. Game

I don't usually watch college basketball until about February, but I caught the highlights of Wednesday's game between Harrison Barnes' alma mater, North Carolina and teammate, Draymond Green's alma mater, Michigan State.

Looks like Barnes and Green made a bet on the game which North Carolina ended up winning in upsetting top-ranked Michigan State. Green was a good sport in the loss as he had to wear what looks like one of those generic college sweatshirt's you find at Champs Sports stores in the mall.

Although Green's Spartans are now sure to drop out of the top AP rankings spot, Michigan State still looks like it'll be poised for a deep run in this year's NCAA tournament.  I'm certainly hoping Andre Iguodala and his alma mater, the Arizona Wildcats (currently ranked #2), will play Draymond's Spartans and hopefully another bet will ensue so that we might see Dray Dray in that same sleepy pose but this time with Wildcat Cardinal Red and Blue.

Twitter Trash Talking Between Blazers, Suns and Hawks

The people running the NBA Team twitter accounts are doing a pretty good job this year.  Particularly enjoyed the twitter trash talk that was dished out earlier this week.

After beating the Eastern Conference leading-Indiana Pacers at home on Monday, the t-blazers account sent out the following

Pretty witty considering that on Tuesday there were only two (yes like the number after one) teams in the Eastern Conference with a record better than .500.

Then the Phoenix Suns decided to doggy pile on the Blazers zinger,

oooohhhh, a zinger followed up by another zinger that is realistic cause if the Suns were in the East, they would be 3rd in the conference with their 10 - 9 record.

Later that night, there was a twitter response from the Atlanta Hawks after they beat the Clippers.

Overall, pretty chill to see that team twitter accounts are doing more than just tweeting out highlights of their games.

With the league fining guys for what they say on their twitter accounts, the only kind of trash talk we get are the really polite kind like what we saw between Roy Hibbert and Lamarcus Aldridge.

No way David Stern can fine the social media guys posting for the NBA teams, so I'm hopeful we'll keep getting more of these passive aggressive disses.

Postponed:
Due to some pretty smokey reasons, the game in mexico city between the Spurs and the T'wolves was called off and rescheduled.

Rundown of the Games That Weren't Postponed:
Paul Millsap led the Hawks in points, boards and assists and pump fakes that really tricked DeAndre Jordan as the Hawks beat the Clipps in Atlanta.

Rockets lose to the Suns and Aaron Brooks almost got his 3rd block of the season on Jumpin' Gerald Green.  Too bad those haters a.k.a., refs, called it off, but i'm still counting it in my book.  And by book i mean blog, and by blog I'm referring to the sentence I just wrote on this post.

Lefty to Lefty to Lefty
Brandon Jennings played his first game back in Milwaukee since he left the Bucks and showed off the chemistry between him and the other southpaws on his team.

Casual:
Not to be left out, the righty center, Andre Drummond also had his fair share of highlights. Drummond, for the 3rd game in a row, had more than 18 rebounds (19 total) while Greg Monroe also grabbed 17 boards as the Pistons beat the Bucks.

Changing it Up
After getting teased by Brent Barry on NBA TV for making 7 threes but having no assists in his previous triple OT game, Ryan Anderson really stuck it to Barry by only making 1 three BUT dishing out 1 assist and being pretty fierce on the boards (13 rebounds) to help the Pelicans beat the Mavericks last night.

21/21
Not like slightly off perfect vision, but like the amount of rebounds and career highs for Tristan Thompson and Al Farique Aminu.  Besides copying each other in rebounds, they also both only had 1 assist and recorded a total of 3 other things (steals for Aminu and blocks for Thompson).

Longhorn Battle
Former U of T guys, Kevin Durant and Lamarcus Aldridge played each other last night.  Not a great game from their #0 wearing sidekicks, Lillard and Westbrook, but L.A. and Lillard came out on top in the end.  Not the best game ever for KD as he had no assists and no defense on this last play which put the Thunder away for good.

Other:  A new kobe and messi commercial involving some selfies (thanks and happy birthday to my kobe-loving bro, Ryan, for facebooking this to me)....it was also the birthday of Martell Webster, who Gortat calls 'sexual chocolate', so here is Gortat, or as Webster cals him, 'sexual white chocolate', and some reporters singing  happy birthday to the aforementioned sexual chocolate.  Conclusion, if you join the wizards, you just instantly produce blogging gold.
