League Update: Second Trade Completed Between Sleeper Squad and the Replacements

Only a couple minutes after the first trade went through this Thursday, Sleeper Squad and the Replacements, made another trade to complete a total of a 10 men swap (Involving 11 player transactions, but Joe Johnson was traded twice ).

Since i'm a sucker for historical comparisons, I decided to list out the trade that went down in comparison to those involved in the biggest two-team trade in NBA history (the one involving the Mavs and the Warriors, for you non-NBA history nerds.)

Granted that the Mavs-Warriors trade involved 9 guys, and the one in the league involved 11, I know I'm kind of stretching the comparisons. However, this is fantasy basketball (the reality of these trades are existential in theory) and this is my blog (so I can make all the nonsensical analysis that I want).

Here we go:

Sleeper Squad aka "The Mavericks" Received:
Chris Paul (Avery Johnson) - cause Paul will probably end up as one heck of a coach. Avery Johnson, currently working on that goal.

James Harden (Nick Van Exel) - cause they are both lefties and were traded at their peak from the teams they were drafted by.  Laker and Thunder fans can compare the pain they feel when they see their favorite southpaw guard suited up for another team.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Antoine Rigaudeau) - Only fair that I compared the rookie with the guy no one remembers.

Luis Scola (Popeye Jones) - Easy comparison cause they both take hilariously awkward media day photos. See below.

Al Horford (Evan Eschmeyer) - Both played four seasons in NBA.  Eschmeyer retired after that.  Horford looks like he'll hold off on the social security checks and fishing trips for a couple more seasons.

The Replacements aka "The Mavericks" Received:
Dwyane Wade and Stephen Curry (Jiri Welsch) - cause Welsch was like Curry, projected to be a solid NBA propsect capable of playing both guard positions.  He also celebrates his birthday 10 days apart from Dwade's birthday.

Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce (Antawn Jamison) - JJ is a spokesperson for Jordan brand and the jumpman company also endorsed Jamison' alma mater, North Carolina.  Pierce found himself some superstar teammates before winning his first title in Boston. Jamison has joined the all-star laden-Lakers squad this season.

Chris Bosh (Chris Mills) - Mills' career spanned from '93 to '03.  Bosh was drafted in 03 out of Georgia Tech.

Andrew Bynum (Danny Fortson) - Fortson is a Philadelphian born and raised (on the playground is where he spent most of his days), and Bynum was acquired by the 76ers this past year.
