Video: Someone is Not Pleased With Carlos Boozer's Bank Shot

These ESPN microphones are getting so good that I'm almost convinced I can distinguish whose voice that is.  In fact, I replayed the clip over 15 times just to do further analysis.

I wouldn't bet on this one, but I think I got this one you guys.  I'm almost positive that is the same voice of someone asking Rasheed Wallace if he wants to get in the game.

Video: Kids Interview Knicks About Their Fashion Choices

Just when I thought I knew all about the fashion no-no's worn by current Knicks players (Tyson's red boots, and Amare's Ugg and tights combo), Ryan and Jaylah had to go and reveal that Iman Shumpert owns a skirt or a kilt or both.  Also, the Knicks added a free agent forward this summer that is probably the worst dresser of them all.

A good monday fashion reminder to all that just cus you got lots of money and you live in new york doesn't mean you can dress yourself any better than a kid, as evident by these interviews done by some kids.

Metta World Peace Took A Subway to His First Knicks Game

Thanks to the brother of the forward formerly known as Ron Artest, we got news this afternoon that Metta (or Ron), actually took a subway to Madison Square Garden for the Knicks home opener vs the Bucks.

Judging by the photos posed by reporter Jim Baumbach, it looks like things went as planned. However, I couldn't help but wish that the following might have happened for MWP's trip to his Knicks debut.

1) Metta gets lost, ends up at Barclays Center.

2) Metta dons the fake beard and cowboy hat he wore on Jimmy Kimmel as his undercover garb.

3) Metta brings Beno Udrih along and everyone thinks Metta is Ethan Hawke's body guard.

Video: A JR Smith Jam (the song type not the dunk kind)

It's been a while guys. I'm back to bringing you all the goodness that involves the NBA and our fantasy basketball league. I can't think of many better ways to return than with a JR Smith homage video sung in first-person.  Enjoy!

JR Smith Played Basketball with Power Rangers and Kids

If there was an NBA player who I would suspect would enjoy playing ball with the Power Rangers, it might be JR Smith.  I mean someone who gets 'young money' tatted on his throat and salsa dances to celebrate after game winning shots, is probably pretty well-connected to their youthful self than most NBA players.

Regardless, the  photo below which really in my opinion needs no explanation, has a pretty extensive one by Dan Devine at BDL.

Some excerpts:

"This is a shooting exhibition. Everybody's going to pass the ball to the celebrity guest so he can take jumpers. Of course J.R. Smith is doing this."

"Here's how it works: The kids and Power Rangers line up a bit removed from foul-line extended, and whoever's at the front of the line gets a ball. Not all of the Power Rangers are on the line, however, which leads to one more surreal command than I thought I'd hear: "You guys: Rebound! Power Rangers, REBOUND THE BALL!"

What an awesome event for fans of the power rangers, the knicks, and JR smith.

Iman Shumpert's Littlest Fans

Shump's been back for 2 weeks now, but a late welcome back is still a sweet welcome back.  Cool affirmation that Iman loves the kids and they love him right back.  Check the video below for Shump's giggles.

Highlight: JR Smith Hits the Game Winner Over the Suns

Since Melo and Ray Felton were inactive last night, JR Smith seized the opportunity to shine against the Suns.  Peep the beautiful buzzer beater below.

With 1 second on the clock, and Jason Kidd inbounding, Tyson Chandler was too heavily guarded to handle a lob, there wasn't enough time for Steve Novak's smooth J, and James White was probably out there confused at how he could use his insane dunking ability with so little time on the clock.

Anyone  watching this game should have seen it coming; a ridiculously angled corner jumper off  a curl from the man named Earl.

Tweet: Carmelo shows off Chris Copeland in a pair of Onesies

With league t-rexes, Kurt Thomas, Jason Kidd, and Marcus Camby, the Knicks have a leg up on the rest of the league in the area of being really full of nba experience and generally being a bunch of oldies. In fact, even their rookies are old, specifically 28 first year forward Chris Copeland.

As you can see below, the knicks have stepped up the nba rookie hazing tradition from making their rooks bring donuts to providing them with cartoon backpacks to evidently starting an ingenius gag of having rookies pose menacingly in ducky onesies.

Great idea knicks organization. Please post the photo of pablo prigioni in penguin pjs now.

Carmelo Anthony Plays Pick-up With the Kids

I'm guessing that  this commercial was filmed sometime between this summer's London Olympics and the beginning of the season.  Rumor is that's when Melo, after spending all that time with Kobe and Lebron, realized he needed to start playing defense more consistently in ordered to be considered in the upper echelon of the league.  Hence the ruthlessness in swatting the four footer trying to score a bucket in the key.

The realism in the video makes it worth the watch, from melo's one-on-one moves and smooth elbow jumper as well as the grimace on the poor fella at 0:24 trying to play post-D while getting the bumpety bump from Melo.

Highlight: JR Smith Throws It Down while Doug Collins Frowns

Knicks are the early season suprise.  They've started 3-0 and their star scorer is being talked about more for his defense than offense.  Their points guards Kidd and Prigioni are 39 and 35 years of age with the former currently being regarded in fantasy sports as one of the most efficient players in the league, and the latter is contributing key minutes (see highlight below).

However, the one consistent aspect of the team was guard JR Smith's ability to make ridiculously athletic plays to bring the Garden on its feet. On this play he does just that.

Plus, check out the painfully long 3 seconds the cameramen pans to Doug Collins.  What a great highlight.
