Video: "You Can't Stop Thabeet" - A Hasheem Thabeet Highlight Reel

So last year i posted an Andre Drummond x Coldplay highlight video and commented that i thought it was pretty powerful stuff.

Thanks to the fellas over on reddit now i know highlights of an nba big man also go pretty well with musicals, namely Hairspray.  The highlights in the vid are from last year as 'Sheem hasn't played much this season.  Things might change if coach Scott Brooks gets a hold of this clip.  Or maybe they won't, but I think he'll at least start tapping his feet to thabeet (hehehe).

Bless your heart, youtube user SahDu.  This is your only uploaded video, but i've watched/listened to this all friday morning.

Video: Best Fan-Recorded Version of Westbrook's Game Winner Ever

You know this is good cause you're so close you can see that back wrinkles on that ref.

Thanks to the fan who decided to pull out his phone to record this last sequence of the game, I almost feel like I'm there in person when I see Westbrook holster his finger pistols.

I am especially impressed because I have no idea how this fan didn't start jumping up and down or shaking uncontrollably in joy.  I can't even watch the videos I've made of my dog kicking in her sleep without getting serious motion-sickness.

Video: House Shopping with Steven Adams

Who woulda thought that a New Zealand-born 7-foot basketball player would be such a comedian?  Well not to toots my own horn (although i'm about to do exactly that), but since I stumbled onto those Flight of the Concords guys in college, I've kinda gone all-in when it comes to assuming 'kiwi's are generally just funny guys with really neat accents.  Plus, I absolutely noticed how Steven Adams responded to Byron Mullens ignoring his handshake,  so I totally knew that the Thunder drafted a skilled and also pretty entertaining dude.

All it took to show the rest of the basketball-loving community that there was a legit funnyman sitting (literally) on the Thunder bench, was a video following Adams around as he checks out some real estate.

Highlights
Steven Adams asking about why the bathtubs are so small.
Steven Adams asking if the neighbors have a clothesline.
Steve Adams asking if it is the norm to not own a clothesline.
Steven Adams genuinely looking shocked when finding out Americans hang their clothes indoors.

Video: The Thunder Have a New Hyundai Commercial

A bit late on this gem, but here's the Thunder selling some Hyundais.

Russell Westbrook Missed His PB&J Sandwiches

According to CBS's, Royce Young, the thing that Russ missed the most when he was out with his knee injury was sandwiches. His exact words:

"Coming in and eating my peanut butter and jelly sandwich, stuff like that."

Never have I been more curious about the exact taste of a specific make of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as the one Westbrook has before games.

Halloween Costume Champs: OKC THunder

Happy Halloween everybody.  Although the holiday typically involves little kids dressing up as cute animals and little animals being dressed up like little kids, with the NBA season starting right around Halloween, I would say over the last couple years, I'm begun associating the day more with gigantic NBA players dressing up in ridiculous costumes.

This year's outstanding dresser-uppers have got to go to the Thunder and their firm commitment to the culturally popular (see Nick Collison's costume below), the cliche (KD's Jason mask with what looks like regular clothes from his closet), and the classic (Serge Ibaka's outfit also below).

Highlight: Russell Westbrook Dunk-up

Totally know how it is when you're powering up the  lower back and glutes for a thunderous jam, but all of a sudden your hand slips on the ps3 controller and you hit the shot button while in the air and you end up laying it up instead of doin' the slamma jamma.

Thanks for giving us a highlight to relate to, Russ.

Video: Russ Westbrook Drives a Tour Bus Like How He Drives to the Basket

Kudos to producers at ESPN for picking out Russ' biggest strength and also his biggest weakness.

The i-have-no-conscience-please-quit-waving-at-me-kevin, straight line drive to the basket.

Regardless, I am excited for the NBA season to start. 8 days and counting.
