Noteworthy for 10/30/2013

What just happened: Heat were down 19-0 to start their game against the...Sixers.  Then they decided to start playing like the champs and took a 9-point lead going into the 4th.  Long story short, they blew that lead and end up losing by 4 to the same Sixers that have guys you wouldn't even recognize in a Justin Bieber wig.

Ballin':  Kevin Love hit a 3 to push the game into overtime. Then he asked for lots of noise.  The Plumlee that plays for the Suns had 18 and 15, which is impressive.  Even more so when you consider that he only allowed Lamarcus Aldridge to grab four rebounds.  Klay Thompson was 15 for 19 from the field and had 38 points in 3 quarters.

Michael Carter Williams had 11 pts 7 assists and 6 steals in the first half of his first NBA game. Finished with a ridiculous 22pts, 12 asts, 7 rebounds and 9 steals. Plus, his first points were on a fast break dunk in Lebron's face.

Bynum's Back after taking the whole year off.  Cavs fans gave him a standing ovation and he responded by batting a Deron Williams throw at the basket into the stands.

So many highlights by Kyrie Irving last night.  You can look them up for yourself but also watch this one of him dancing.

Nothing New:
Dwight grabbed 26 boards, 21 in one half.  Before Laker fans complain, consider that he had 20+ rebounds 4 times last year so at least he's consistent.  Kevin Durant scored a lot (42) and shot a whole bunch of free throws (24).  Greg Monroe had 24 and 16 plus some fancy footwork.

Debut: New Orleans played its first game as the Pelicans and Jrue Holiday was a little nervous with his words.  Anthony Davis still has a lot of hops, especially on alley oops.

Others:  The video production guys for Dallas are pretty good at their job; check out their "what do the mavs say video"...that cool lookin dude at the very top is Pierre, the newest mascot in the league..A hilarious photo of Amir Johnson and Psycho T after their win over the Celtics...A pretty cool video-poem about Lebron...Congratulations to the Big Ticket, Kevin Garnett, as he passed Reggie Miller and is now 14th all time in scoring.
